Project Acorn
The current product offering, in which Indigo was in the middle of the grain transaction, did not support a new business strategy pivot. A small team was gifted eight weeks to formulate a new product mapped to the new SASS offering.
Project Scope
Selected to be part of a small group to start building a product from scratch taking current learning and mistakes from the previous Indigo product.
Work in Product Management to phase out workflows logically.
Instruct and distribute work to UX design peers to steer them toward the new product solution.
My Role
One of two designers included in the group of 15 tech individuals. Focused on execution and alignment with sales, product and engineering to ensure the product meet new expectations in the short and long term.
Distill product requirements from sales with product managers and work with engineers on planning for short term and long term needs, ie) MVP 30 day deliverable. public URLs, Internalization.
Draw out the end to end product experience to paint the entire picture of the product.
User Research
Preparation
I created a moderator guide with scenarios to walk users through a discovery question session before sharing my prototype.
Sessions
I conducted four user research interviews with originators and merchandisers in the agriculture industry, using the moderator guide and the prototype I created.

Presented in Google Slides to the entire Acorn team and broader tech organization, offering level and town hall meetings.
